“Our goal has always been to ensure that every player receives coverage,” said Scott Gutterman, the PGA TOUR’s senior vice president of digital and broadcast technologies. “Generative AI allows us to scale this effort and deliver meaningful content for any player at any point in time.”
This AI-generated commentary not only describes the action but also provides context—highlighting a golfer’s positioning on the leaderboard, the difficulty of a particular hole, and the strategic implications of a given shot.
